Goodwill message from NIESV, Lagos State Branch on the ocassion of 2020 Eid Mubarak celebration
On this blessed occasion of Eid Mubarak celebrations which comes with a symbolic message capable of reinforcing your faiths in Almighty God and strengthening your beliefs in His unseen but felt helping hands at all times, I wish all our muslim brothers and sisters a joyous celebration.
Your sacrifices which symbolise total obedience to our Creator’s directives, have attained global recognition as exemplified by Prophet Ibrahim who moved to sacrifice his son without querying Allah until an alternative sacrifice was provided.
As Estate Surveyors and Valuers, you have not only built worthy careers for yourselves, but have also shown love for our country with your works through selfless commitment to developing Nigeria’s real estate sector even in the face of the lockdown in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic; you have kept your services running and kept the economy moving, like every other Estate Surveyors and Valuers.
There is still so much work to do. The real estate sector still remains on a low elb and we need to be patient and seek always, the blessings of the Almighty God on our every effort and never rely on our wisdom and human intelligence.
As Estate Surveyors and Valuers, we have roles to play in helping Nigeria attain her expected Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of $250 billion by the end of 2020. Let’s keep our eyes on the ball.
While joining the world to celebrate this feast of sacrifice and selfless giving, let us not loose our guard against the Corona Virus that has altered our global economy, religious orders and social lifestyles.
Remember to observe the safety guidelines of regular handwashing, frequent usage of hand sanitizers, avoid large gatherings, keep to physical distance rules and wear face masks as recommended by health authorities.
I join you in this period of celebration and merry making while pleading that we celebrate responsibly.
Barka da Sallah
