World Habitat Day
The United Nations designated the first Monday of October of every year as World Habitat Day to reflect on the state of our towns and cities, and on the basic right of all to adequate shelter. The Day is also intended to remind the world that we all have the power and the responsibility to shape the future of our cities and towns.
According to United Nations statistics, Nigeria has a shortage of 17 million descent homes, with Lagos having over 20% of the housing need with shortage of 3 million homes.
While doing our businesses as real estate practitioners, let’s keep this in mind and be ready to play our parts in bridging the state’s housing gap.
Homes and properties under our care must continue to be relishes of decency and clean environments. @niesvlagos #worldhabitatday
