Niesv Lagos State Branch Paid A Courtesy Visit To The Permanent Secretary (LASVO)
NIESV Lagos State Branch, led by the 28th Chairman, ESV Olugbenga Ismail FNIVS, FRICS, paid a courtesy visit to the Permanent Secretary, Lands Bureau, Mr. Olabode Agoro, HFNIVS on the 23rd of August, 2023.
During the visit, the 28th Chairman expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the Permanent Secretary for his unwavering support for the past EXCOs, he implored him to continuous to support the new EXCO.
The chairman also tabled the branch’s request on behalf of the Corperative Society for an expanse of land in Lagos State for NIESV LAGOS STATE BRANCH SITE AND SERVICE SCHEME.
The Permanent Secretary was honoured to receive the new EXCO. He reaffirmed the Lands Bureau unwavering dedication to continue supporting the Very Branch because the Estate Surveying and Valuation profession is a Noble Profession, and he is an “Honourary Fellow” of the institution.
He further stated that it’s pertinent for Estate Surveyors and Valuers as Land Economists to have their own expanse of Land through its Cooperative Society and he stated that the minimum request for such expanse of land in Lagos State is 5 hectares while the maximum that can be granted is 10 hectares.
He proceeded to hand over the application form to the President of NIESV, Lagos State Branch Cooperative Society, ESV. Lanre Taiwo ANIVS, RSV and waived the cost of purchasing the form in the sum of N250,000:00 (Two Hundred and Fifty Thousand Naira Only)
The EXCO thanked the Permanent Secretary for his magnanimity and assured him that the form will be submitted with all the appropriate documents without delay.
The executive members also seized the opportunity to visit the office of the Director of Land Regularization, ESV. Wasiu Olayinka FNIVS and the Office of the Director of Acquisition, Revocation and Compensation, Esv (Mrs) Yetunde Olusegun FNIVS and all Land Officers working within Lands Bureau, Lagos State Government.
The EXCO finalized its visitation at the Lagos State Valuation Office, ESV. Kunle Awolaja FNIVS – Director, Valuation office was happy to receive the exco of the very branch, he informed the EXCO of the recent employment of some noble colleagues into the Valuation office which has significantly increased the numbers of Estate Surveyors & Valuers in the valuation office.
The visitations were rounded off with group photographs with the lands officers and directors.
